Questions
Deadlines & details
When should I get in touch about year-end?
Earlier than you think. The best year-ends are prepared from books that were kept clean all year — if we handle your monthly bookkeeping, year-end is mostly already done. If your fiscal year has closed and the books are behind, reach out now; cleanup plus filing is a common combined project.
What deadlines do I actually need to worry about?
It depends on your structure: self-employed returns are due June 15 (with tax owing due April 30), and corporate returns are due six months after your fiscal year-end — with taxes typically due sooner. Part of the service is that you stop having to track this at all: we watch the CRA calendar for you.
Can you just do my year-end if someone else does the books?
Yes. We prepare year-ends from your existing records — though if the books need cleanup first, we quote that transparently before starting.
Do you file U.S. tax returns?
No — year-end and tax services are for Canadian businesses (incorporated or self-employed). U.S. clients are welcome for monthly bookkeeping, which keeps their records ready for their own U.S. tax preparer.
Make next April boring.
The earlier we talk, the calmer your year-end. A 15-minute call tells you exactly where you stand.
